I am currently a mother and PreK teacher. My goal is to share ideas and resources with other early learning educators to enable them to facilitate the best learning environment for their students.
I have two daughters, one getting ready to graduate high school and another heading into sophomore year. I am blessed to have them in my life.
I just completed my tenth year of teaching preschool four year olds. I consider myself to always be learning and growing as a teacher. Although I have all of my plans from each year that I have taught, I generally switch things around and add new ideas each year, based upon new ideas I have or have found as well as to work with the unique group of students I have each year. I have recently finished taking courses through Martin Luther College to be certified by my synod in Early Childhood Education. I graduated from Shepherd College with a degree in Elementary Education PreK-8.
In addition to creating things to use in my classroom I also enjoy crocheting for my family and friends. I have been making lots of dishcloths and hot pads for my daughter who will soon be off to college. I have also created a few items for my classroom, including a stuffed alphabet.
I opened my Teachers Pay Teachers shop in 2015 to share the resources I make for my classroom with others. It also helps motivate me to finish projects that I start since I know I cannot share them until they are complete. My first large project was my Question of the Day project, which has really made the beginning of each preschool day much easier for me.
